Overnight & Multi Day Rafting Trips

White Water Rafting & Wilderness Camping

Welcome to the ultimate outdoor experience California rivers have to offer - overnight whitewater rafting trips.

Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the river canyon at a slower pace that allows you to savor every moment.

Multi day rafting trips combine the same white water rafting action you experience on a 1-Day trip with optional side hikes, camping under the stars, and more time in nature.

We offer overnight and multi day wilderness rafting trips on the Middle Fork American and the Tuolumne River.

Middle Fork American Overnight and Multi Day Rafting Trips

The Middle Fork of the American River offers the perfect introduction to wilderness overnight rafting trips and is a great option for both families and groups of friends. Its Intermediate Class 3-4 whitewater is interspersed by calmer sections which invite you to relax and admire the remote canyon. The rapids are approachable even to athletic and adventurous first-timers (swimming ability is needed); the usual minimum age is 12 years old.

Our 2-Day and 3-Day Middle Fork trips are unique because they include the option to navigate the mellower stretches of the river in a 2-person inflatable kayak! Throw in a chance to hike to hidden waterfalls and swimming holes, and you get yourself an easily accessible wilderness getaway.

Tuolumne River Overnight and Multi Day Rafting Trips

The magnificent Tuolumne River canyon just west of Yosemite National Park is home to one of the best wilderness whitewater experiences in the US. The 18 miles of Main Tuolumne’s Class 4+ rapids are the ideal length for an overnight rafting trip.

Explore this remarkable place at a pace that allows for visits to historic mining relics, short hikes along tributary streams to water slides and deep pools.

Enjoy yourself and your company at remote beaches while your guides prepare fresh, delicious meals.

Seasoned rafters looking for the ultimate multi day rafting challenge can add 9 more miles of Class 5 whitewater of the Upper Tuolumne / Cherry Creek section directly upstream.

Camping on a Wilderness Rafting Trip

Venturing into a remote wilderness canyon requires us to bring all the supplies with us, expedition-style. Our overnight and multi day rafting trips are accompanied by gear boats that carry all the food, kitchen equipment, and guests’ belongings down those same exciting rapids your crew paddles through!

Camping on a remote beach means there is no running water or electricity. Bathroom facilities range between a compost toilet inside a simple outhouse and an industry-standard open-air toilet set up at the far end of the beach. (If all this doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, our South Fork American 2-Day trip may be the right choice for you.) Choose your camping spot and either unroll your sleeping bag right under the stars or if preferred, pitch a tent. Your guides will turn into chefs preparing mouth-watering appetizers, grilling meat, and cooking amazing meals while you hang out and enjoy being away from your everyday commitments.
