Mother Nature is hard to predict even when you've been in this business as long as we have. That's why it's always exciting when the dust of winter storms and spring weather patterns have settled and we know what we can expect for the upcoming season. Now that we're into May, we're confident in telling you that California's whitewater rivers will have good flows and consistent seasons in 2008! 
Going into April this year we weren't sure what the California snowpack would look like by this time — we knew that if it was a hot month a lot of the snow would melt and run off into river systems before we all got a chance to go rafting. What we were hoping was that we'd have a gentle April, preserving the snow until a little later in the season. Lucky for us-and you-that is exactly what happened! April's temps were low enough that there is plenty of snow left in the mountains to give us really fun water levels on a great range of rivers this spring and summer.
